I still think the angels have it. Bedard is a huge addition, but the angels added hunter so its not like they didn't have a big pickup as well. The angels are starting the season with Lackey and Escobar on the DL, so it could go to the Mariners if Hernandez pitches as well as I think he is capable of.

You have to give it to Boston, but the starting pitching injuries could make this thing more interesting than people seem to think

Without looking up the stats, I believe the cubs had the 2nd best starter ERA in the NL last year behind only San Diego. To say they only have Zambrano is also very false as both Hill and Lilly were better then him last year and both should be good again this year.

I also am going with detroit, especially because i dont think carmona can duplicate what he did last year. I wouldn't be surprised to see the indians get the wild card though.

Personally I feel that the Brewers have the best shot at winning the division. The Cubs have one viable pitcher in Zambrano and you can't play 162 games with out any pitching. If they do make the playoffs that rotation will hurt them.

Obviously all of you do not follow baseball at all whats so ever cause we all know the Chicago White Sox are a shoe in for the division and the ALCS.

I too expect the Dodgers to win it, but I said that last year also. I think Jones has a big year, and you are exactly right about that big bat having an impact in the middle of their order - its something that was missing last year. Even with Schmidt being injured, the rotation is strong enough with Lowe and Penny at the helm.

I think the Cubs will win, but i think they are one significant injury away from total collapse. Watch Soriano's bad legs and Ramirez' bad everything as contributing factors to this team underachieving. When Lee went down with the broken wrist, so did the Cubs, and something similar could happen again.

But Lidge is hurt already and he hasn't been good since Pujols Killed that ball off him in the playoffs. I think the back end of the rotation won't hold up at all, but that being said, its still probably the Phillies. The Mets have too many holes due to injury and Santana can't fill all of them.

I think that the Phillies win the division. With the addition of Lidge the Phils can move Myers back to where he belongs in the starting rotation. I think the mets just have too many injury issues with Pedro, Alou, Delgado, and Beltran.

I think that adding Fukudome has made the Cubs the favorites once again. But like last year it should be pretty close with the Brewer's again.

I think that the Dodgers will win the West. Arizona was a little lucky last year and actually got outscored for the whole season, they did add Haren which should help but I think the Dodgers are going to win it they have alot of good young talent and added Andrew Jones who should help their lack of power from last year.

This is Boston's division to lose in my opinion, but I would not count out New York, and don't forget about Toronto as well. They have really good starting pitching and a decent lineup.

I think that Detroit is clearly the favorite in the division right now. Adding Renteria and Cabrera to their already good lineup puts them ahead of Cleveland to me.

I actually think that Seattle has a really good chance at winning the West. They have a pretty good lineup, and were able to add Bedard by trade to add with Hernandez.
